Entries Open for Annual HSJ Awards
8 April 2026
Entries are now open for the latest annual HSJ Awards, with LOCs given the opportunity to share their most impactful projects and transformative innovations for a chance at the national recognition their hard-working teams deserve.
This year’s programme features 25 categories, including three new awards designed to reflect the NHS’s shifting priorities and the move towards neighbourhood care, pathway redesign, and system working.
Other categories span from leadership and workforce development to excellence in patient care and innovation. You can view the whole list of categories here.
Last year, Gloucestershire LOC were celebrated at the HSJ Awards as part of a collaborative eye care project with BlueWorks OIMS, Gloucestershire ICB and Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Coined the OphthalSuite Community Ophthalmic link system, the project picked up an award for the Most Impactful Use of Technology, enabling community optometrists to access patients’ hospital eye health records quickly and securely.
Ankur Trivedi, a member of Gloucestershire LOC, said: “The Community Ophthalmic Link (COL) is revolutionising the way community optical practices operate in our county.
“With access to vital data, our community optometrist and optician colleagues are more informed and effective than ever.
“We have heard countless stories from our peers about how significantly this system has saved time, made their work not only easier but also enhancing patient care.”
This year’s awards are free to enter, but you will need to register your details on HSJ’s dedicated awards system.
