LOCSU Publish ROC 2026 Agenda

The agenda for LOCSU’s Regional Optical Conferences (ROC) 2026 has now been released.
The ROCs are one-day regional events taking place this November that bring together LOCs and provide an opportunity to network, share best practice and discuss key local topics. Whether you are an experienced LOC officer or new to your committee, there is something for everyone.
Each conference will follow the same agenda, outlined below, with afternoon sessions decided and agreed by each region.
Agenda
- 10am – 10.30am: Registration
- 10.30am – 11am: LOCSU update
This short update from LOCSU will highlight some of our recent activity and resources available to LOCs.
- 11am – 12pm: Clinical Pathways
LOCSU clinical pathways are regularly refreshed, with the glaucoma pathway being the most recent to be reviewed. Work is currently underway to refresh the children’s, low vision, and cataract pathways.
In this session, LOCs will have the opportunity to discuss the most relevant service opportunities and pathways for their area.
- 12pm – 12.15pm: Coffee break
- 12.15pm – 1.15pm: Neighbourhood Optometry Offer
Following LOC feedback and recognising the importance of neighbourhood discussions, this workshop will include round table discussions, allowing the opportunity for LOCs to share experiences, explore local priorities and discuss opportunities collaboratively.
- 1.15pm – 2pm: Lunch
- 2pm – 3pm: Afternoon session 1
This session will be delivered either as a single one-hour session or as two 30-minute sessions, with topics decided by each region.
- 3pm – 3.15pm: Coffee break
- 3.15pm – 4.15pm: Afternoon session 2
This session will also be delivered either as a single one-hour session or as two 30-minute sessions, with topics decided by each region.
- 4.15pm – 4.30pm: Closing
As a reminder, the ROCs will take place as follows:
- North East & Yorkshire: 3 November 2026, Hilton Leeds City, Leeds.
- North West: 4 November 2026, Delta by Marriott Liverpool, Liverpool.
- South West: 10 November, Mercure Exeter Southgate, Exeter.
- Midlands: 12 November, Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC, Birmingham.
- East of England: 17 November, Holiday Inn Cambridge, Cambridge.
- London: 25 November, Doubletree by Hilton Angel King’s Cross, London.
- South East: 26 November, Doubletree by Hilton Angel King’s Cross, London.
