LOC levy payments to resume from August

31 July 2020

The LOCSU levy will resume from 1stAugust 2020, following a four-month payment break during the initial phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The April-July break period was implemented to support LOCs during a period where LOCs were receiving very minimal or no levy payments from contractors and performers. Since June, when NHSE confirmed that the full range of GOS services could resume, activity is returning albeit at reduced levels.

In recent weeks, LOCSU has conducted virtual meetings with LOC Treasurers to help LOCs plan for the longer term, given that income may continue at a reduced level for some time. Going forward, LOCSU will facilitate regional meetings for Treasurers to enable networking and sharing of ideas and resources and update resources for LOC treasurers to reflect current practice and developing a reserves policy.

The Levy payment process will remain unchanged.
