LOCSU Annual Report 2018-19 published

The 2018-19 LOCSU Annual Report ‘Foundations for Reform’ is now available.

The report covers the events of 2019 and also includes reference to the role LOCSU has played in responding to the Covid-19 crisis.

The output of NOC 2019 in the form of a Workshop Summary and Action plan, as published recently, is included in this Report. The Governance and Compliance section contains reference to the consultations LOCSU has participated in, as well as information on Quality in Optometry (QiO) and GDPR.

A case study on the Heart of West Midlands MECS is a great example of how extended primary eyecare services can reduce the burden on GPs and hospitals through collaborative working.

We hope that LOCs will find that the Annual Report is a useful account of LOCSU activities.
