Optom Case Competition

This is a virtual case competition showcasing advanced clinical practice in optometry.

It will be hosted and organised by Dr Amy Shirodkar, Ophthalmology Consultant at Arrowe Park Hospital in Birkenhead, and Sahr Khawaja, Specialist IP Optometrist at St Helier Hospital and Moorfields Hospital.

The virtual event will be run on the 11 October from 6.30pm where optometrists with specialist interests and hospital optometrists will present patient case reports highlighting valuable learning points and showcasing their role in the patient’s journey as part of the ophthalmology team. 

The topic for presenters is ‘Cases with Systemic Associations’ and a number of accomplished optometrists and ophthalmologists will be judging the event.
