Sharing news about your LOC’s activities and initiatives with local newspapers, magazines, radio and TV outlets, as well as sector magazines and other media organisations is a great way to build the profile of the LOC and raise awareness of the role of primary care optometry. By raising the profile of your work you’ll underline its value and strengthen your platform within the wider healthcare sector. Plus, it’s great to see good work publicly recognised.

To help LOCs engage with media organisations successfully, LOCSU has created a Press Release Toolkit giving you a step-by-step guide for sharing your stories. The toolkit includes a press release template that you can populate with all the information that will pique media interest.

We’d love to inspire LOCs with success stories from those who have enjoyed success sharing their stories. Have you already made your mark in the media?
