Record-breaking September Induction Course welcomes 29 LOC committee members

LOCSU launched the September Induction Course for new LOC committee members this month, with a record 29 participants from LOCs across England.
This cohort marks the largest intake to date, reflecting growing engagement and enthusiasm across the LOC community.
Two live webinars, led by Simone Mason, LOCSU’s Training & Development Lead, took place this month with presentations from LOCSU CEO, Janice Foster, and Chessie George, Communications and Engagement Lead.
The sessions introduced members to the importance of LOCSU and communications and engagement, with practical insights into:
- Communications planning
- Effective use of LOC websites, newsletters and social media
- Community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- LOCSU support resources including toolkits, forums and bite-size training
Janice Foster also provided an overview of LOCSU and LOCs.
The next live session will take place on 14 October, focusing on NHS structures and acronyms, continuing the journey of learning and collaboration, with the bonus of gaining two CPD points for attending live.
