PCSE Online – PMS Provider Testing

Several components of PCSE Online for Ophthalmic Payments will change in November 2023 in conjunction with the changes to Ophthalmic Regulations proposed by NHS England (NHSE).

NHSE are mandating the move to electronic submissions of GOS claims. It is expected that the change will be made from 1st January 2024 and no submissions of GOS claims made through paper channels will be accepted and processed by PCSE after this date.

In addition, there will be a reduction of submission deadlines for claims from 6 to 3 months. This change is scheduled to come into effect from 1 January 2024.

To support this, the PCSE ophthalmic payments team need to make changes to PCSE Online functionality and they are looking for PMS providers to take part in testing the changes which will include processing claims through the online system without the need for a signature in the event of a system outage or internet connectivity issues (all GOS types) and for uncollected glasses (GOS3 & 4).
