LOCs do not often have physical offices/spaces, nor hold patient identifiable data, however the LOC may still be affected by local or national critical incidents. A Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan outlines the measures that can be put in place to mitigate the impact of disasters and recover from them as quickly as possible in order for the LOC to maintain their support of the local optical sector.
