The LOCSU National Optical Conference took place between 10-12 Oct at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.
This year’s main theme was to help prepare LOCs to navigate through the recent reforms to the NHS. The first day of the conference focussed on ‘workforce and networking’ while the final day was about ‘Transformation’.
The NOC was also the first opportunity for LOC members to meet and hear from the new Chair Dr Joy Tweed and CEO Janice Foster.
During the conference Professor Barbara Ryan, Director of Postgraduate Taught Courses and Co-Director of Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre (WOPEC), presented certificates to the latest graduates from LOCSU’s Leadership Course for Optical Professionals.
